My First Monday Made It!!!

Happy Monday Friends,
Yay! I'm so happy to finally be able to take part in Tara's Monday Made It!!
I've been wanting to link up for a  few weeks now, but haven't been able to with school ending late and our vacation that followed. I saw this on Pinterest a while ago & put it on my summer to-do list:

Source: Fun for First
I have a pirate theme in my classroom, so I added some pirate themed scrapbook paper to the drawer to match my theme & whipped this up...
TA-DA!!!
I'm actually THRILLED with how this came out! Last year I had 2 containers for pencils: sharpened and unsharpened. It served it's purpose, but if I heard the pencils get knocked over and come crashing to the ground one more time, I thought I might go crazy!! I think this will solve my problem.
Now with this crazy and hectic thing called life not getting in the way so much, I am fully on the "Monday Made Its" bandwagon. I am going to try and tackle a big project for next Monday. Stay tuned...:)
Go and link up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics for Monday Made Its!
Have a Marvelous Monday!!,

  6. Nice work. I saw this on Pinterest a while back and wanted to do it too. I am on the pirate bandwagon thanks to you :) I am LOVING them right now and want it to be my theme for my classroom. You are my pirate inspiration (that and your Pinterst board.) :)

  11. I love this idea! I had the same "pencil in the can" problem that you did! If I heard pencils spilling one more time...UGH! I think I will try this out!

  15. UGH PENCILS! How I hate dealing with them! I totally feel you on the crashing of the pencil cups. Especially when it was me who was knocking it over!!! I've been wanting to do this for awhile too. Yours turned out absolutely adorable. How many pencils are you thinking of keeping in the sharpened drawer at a time?

  21. I love your ideas! Especially the Birthday shirt!! I may have to borrow that one! Wish I had seen the Vista Print Groupon Deal...I use them to make a lot of my homework passes, etc. I am new follower to your blog and I would really appreciate any ideas you have for driving traffic to my blog. 22. You know..I really like this idea. I use a "Dull" and "Sharp" cup, but I like this idea better. I keep erasers in my drawer and students pay me a ticket for them (classroom currency) otherwise they would be gone in a second!! I love the organizer and would like to do in my room. Summer project CHECK! :) Thanks!
