It's Fabulous Blogger...Saturday!!

Friends, please forgive me!!

I haven't been the best of bloggers lately. I'm trying to juggle school, my daughter, marriage, making TPT products, and have some "me" time, so it's been hard for me to get on here. It's time to showcase another fabulous blogger, so sit back and enjoy some reading!
Today I'm featuring Jennifer from...

Grade or Subject You Teach?
 kindergarten

What inspired you to become a teacher?
My mother is a teacher. I have watched her make journals and create work samples, trace art projects, sort worksheet copies, and "shop for school" my whole life! I enjoyed helping out in her classroom and just knew that I would love teaching.

Describe your teaching "personality":
Three words to describe my teaching personality are simple, uncomplicated, and easy-going. I enjoy making things to use in my classroom so my activities are purposeful for that group of students and tailored to their needs. I like to think of myself as a kind and understanding teacher (yes, kind of a pushover) and am mindful that these students are just five years old. I know that the time the students spend with me is important and try to plan lessons that are meaningful and engaging.

What is your favorite subject to teach?
I teach them all, but my favorite is Reading.

What made you decide to begin blogging?
I have been reading blogs everyday for years. I did not have an account that would allow me to post comments (now I can't help stop) and would bookmark them all. I have learned so much and gotten so many ideas, so I started my blog to give back. I am totally addicted now!

If you could give one piece of advice to your fellow teachers & bloggers, what would it be?
Read blogs and recently published books, and take all the training you can. Trends and ideas change so quickly in education, you need to stay current.

Finish this sentence: You know you're a teacher when...
you have a section in your closet that contains teacher jumper-style dresses, seasonal sweaters, and other thematic clothing and accessories ("oh, I can wear that shirt with fish on it during Ocean week") that may not be trendy anymore, but you just can not part with them.

Any personal links you would like to share with readers (TPT, TN, Pinterest, Etsy)?
