It's Fabulous Blogger...Saturday?!? and Pirate birthdays!

Happy Saturday Friends,

Whew! It has been a loooonng first week back to school!! I apologize for my absence for a few days. I have been crazy busy getting ready for Meet the Teacher, which was yesterday. I have 18 wonderful firsties this year & I am excited to begin the new school year with them! I will take some "after" pictures next week of my classroom. I am THRILLED with how it came out!!!
So...it was Friday yesterday & I was supposed to have Fabulous Blogger Friday; however, with all of the craziness, Friday came and went, so I am having a Fabulous Blogger Saturday today!
This week I am featuring Michelle from:
Smitten with First
Grade or Subject You Teach? First Grade

What inspired you to become a teacher? playing school in our garage! I used my parents pop-up camper as a huge desk where all my imaginary students sat. My favorite was using an old washing machine for an overhead projector.

Describe your teaching "personality" loving.

What is your favorite subject to teach?hmmm...this is a tough one. Can I pick 2? Reading and math. Love teaching them both!

What made you decide to begin blogging? reading teaching blogs for endless hours! I loved be able to get online and feel a connection with teachers all around the world. I loved seeing all the resources out there that were being shared with one another, and seeing the friendships that were made. After months of going back and forth with the idea, I finally just jumped right in!

If you could give one piece of advice to your fellow teachers & bloggers, what would it be? to be a continual learner!

Finish this sentence: You know you're a teacher when ....your daughter smiles and calls you Mrs. Hudgeons rather than mommy! She laughs every time!

Any personal links you would like to share with readers (TPT, TN, Pinterest, Etsy)?

Here is a unit that Michelle has recently created:

A BIG thank you to Michelle for letting me feature you!! If you would like to be featured on Fabulous Blogger Friday, please email me at fsuteach81@yahoo.com.

In other news, I have had some inquiries about if I'm going to sell my pirate birthday headers that I showed in my Monday Made It post here. The answer is YES!!! Here are some pictures of my Pirate Birthday Ribbon Display:

Thank you to Sara from Smiling In Second Grade for sharing the idea to create my birthday display on ribbons! Click on the first picture above or HERE to see it at my Teachers Pay Teachers store!!
Have a Super Saturday!!,
