November Currently AND Fabulous Blogger Friday!!

Happy Friday everyone!!,

Hallelujah!! We have made it through another week!! It's Friday again and that means it's time for another Fabulous Blogger Friday. It's also November so of course I have to join in on Farley's November Currently at Oh Boy 4th Grade. Here it is:
Go link up with Farley & tell us what you are currently doing.

Now on to my Fabulous Blogger...

I had to laugh when I looked at my calendar and saw that I was featuring Jaime today, because she just won my giveaway yesterday lol. :) She is a super sweet gal and you must check out her blog!

Your Name/Name of Blog:
Jaime Pink/ Bright Concepts 4 Teachers

Grade or Subject You Teach?
 I currently teach 2nd grade

What inspired you to become a teacher?
My mom. She was a teacher as well. We taught together at the same school for 11 years until she retired. I tried everything in college to avoiding becoming a teacher, but realized it was my calling.

Describe your teaching "personality":
I am very structured and have very high expectations. I explain to my students that coming to school and learning is their "job" and they need to give 100%, just as I give them 100+% as their teacher. We have fun learning, giggle a bunch and allow our classroom to be a safe place to share ideas and thoughts.

What is your favorite subject to teach?
 I love to teach math.

What made you decide to begin blogging?
I had no idea the teaching blogging world existed until a few months ago. A friend of mine introduced me to Pinterest and said it would change my life (yeah, right!). Well, she was right. I found all these amazing ideas on Pinterest and started blog stalking a few sites. Then I realized, I too had great ideas to share with others and decided to start my own blog.

If you could give one piece of advice to your fellow teachers & bloggers, what would it be?
Be true to your thoughts and ideas. Not every idea always works and I think it is important to share that with others. Being honest with each other about our experiences helps us grow into better educators.

Finish this sentence: You know you're a teacher when:
you look forward to Back to School shopping because it makes you giddy, just like Black Friday does for the rest of the shopping world.

Any personal links you would like to share with readers (TPT, TN, Pinterest, Etsy)?

Swing by Jaime's blog & show her some love!! If you are interested in being featured for Fabulous Blogger Friday, please email me at fsuteach81@yahoo.com.

Have a great weekend!!,
