Happy Saturday Friends,
Today I'm going to do some babbling about my newest classroom obsession: buntings! I've made a few buntings for my classroom over the past few days. I love how they look in the classroom & it's a fun way to decorate!! Here is what I've made so far...
The first one is Schoolgirl Style inspired! I saw her "Ahoy Mateys" bunting & had to create it for my pirate themed classroom:
The next one is for my student work bulletin board. It says "Our Work Is A Treasure". This one I have listed in my TPT store. Click on the picture to take you there if you are interested!
***I had so much fun making these that I would love to make a few more, so let's have a little fun!! Leave a comment below about a bunting you would like for your classroom ( any theme, saying, etc) and I'll randomly draw 2, yes 2 winners that I will make a personalized bunting for!!
I also wanted to tell you about a Pinterest link up!!
Sweet Debbie at RainbowsWithinReach is having a teacher pinterest link up. If you are an educator & are on Pinterest, head over to her blog & link up your pinterest board. The more we share, the better teachers we are, and the more our students benefit!! :) Click on the picture above to head on over!
Also, my friend Joell over at Totally Terrific Teaching needs your help! She bought a mirror but is trying to think of a catchy saying to put around it. She is offering a $10 Amazon gift card if you come up with the saying that she picks. Head on over & help her out!! :)
Don't forget to leave a comment below for your chance to win a personalized themed bunting of your choice!! I'll be back tomorrow with some shopping finds & pinteresting back to school thoughts!...and to pick 2 winners of personalized buntings/pennants!

Have a Super Saturday!,
How cute! I have a few banners that I have downloaded, but nothing really "fits" what I am doing in my room this year. How about a Hero theme bunting? I don't know what it could say though...maybe someone else will come up with something catchy!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I'd love a black and white polka dot one.

Great idea! Your bunting looks fantastic! My back to school theme is super heroes so, I would love a super hero theme bunting! Maybe a saying like up, up and away. Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteMy classroom theme is owls and polka dots so I would love this to say something like "Our English Class is a HOOT!" Hopeful!!

My classroom theme is hippos... and there is NOTHING hippo related in teacher stores, so I have to make it all myself. I would love, love, LOVE me some hippo bunting!! What about the saying, "Second Graders are Hip!" That would be SOOO cute! I hope I win... I'm getting excited thinking about it!!! :)

Hippo Hooray for Second Grade!
Our school theme this year is pirates and Learning is a treasure! I love the Ahoy Mateys bunting! I love your blog design. Precious! I'd love to learn to make them myself. Don't even know how to create my own blog. I just stalk others. One baby step at a time-right?
ReplyDeleteLisa!! I was seeing the CUTEST themed pirate stuff in Hobby Lobby the other day (including pirate themed fabric) and I kept thinking of you and your adorable room theme!! I also thought of the recent "You Know You're a Teacher When..." linky that is going around, and I couldn't help but think one of mine would be, "You know you're a teacher when you spend so much time following your favorite teaching blogs that you can spot items in the store that would match their classroom themes" LOL. My room is Owls 'n' Dots this year with neon colors, so anything related to that would fuuuun :)

I just stumbled across your blog and was so excited to see that you are doing a pirate theme this year! Our entire school's theme is pirates and I am so excited, as I was a pirate at East Carolina University in college! I have been making things this summer to go along with the pirates theme. If I won, I would love a pirate themed bunting for my word wall..with each letter on a single triangle Aa Bb Cc, etc.

What a great give-away! I have a multi-cultural class and use "kids around the world" as a theme.
