Happy Thursday Friends,
I am so excited!! I finished my first Pinterest project of the summer! My goal for the summer is to create at least 1 Pinterest project a week, because there are so many projects that I want to make! I was going to hold off and post this for Tara's "Make it Monday", but I won't be around! Destination Vacation is right around the corner!!!
So.......here it is!!!:
The {famous} Teacher Toolbox!!!
I have known for a while that this would be my first project of the summer and went around yesterday collecting the supplies. I bought the 22 drawer organizer from Home Depot and I made the tags on powerpoint. Honestly, I couldn't believe how simple it was to make! I decided I didn't want to go multicolored when I made it, because my classroom is a pirate themed classroom and the primary colors are black, red, and white. I didn't think having a bunch of different colors would mesh well with my theme.
If you like my labels, click on the picture to download them from my TPT store for free! I pre-measured them to fit each window.
So, I have one more thing to do to this toolbox organizer: spray paint it. However, I'm a bit stuck. It's going to be on my back counter with black and white polka dot curtains above it. Should I spray paint it black or red? I'm kind of leaning toward red just so it "pops" a little bit, but I'm not sure.
Thoughts please!!- What color should I paint it?
Have a great day friends,
You go girl! Mission accomplished! It looks phenomenal!

Red! And if it just does not work, then repaint it black. I have of these that I used last year that I am going to spruce up when I can get them out of my room.

Hey Lisa! Your project turned out great. I think I might paint it black so your cute tags pop, but either color would be great.
ReplyDeleteWe are getting ready to move (3 weeks) so I have been holding off on any Pinterest projects and it's killing me! I just want to get started.
Thanks for adding your blog to my More Blogs page. :)

Hi Lisa! I am now your newest follower. Thanks for visiting my blog. This is such a cute idea! I am an organizing freak! I was considering doing a "rainbow" theme in my classroom this year, but the "pirate" theme sounds very cute. I will have to keep that in mind. I love your blog by the way.I can't wait to come back and visit!
